With search engine design, the best solutions are clear.

An asset becomes an asset when it's being used as such. If you have millions of assets that can't be accessed, then those assets begin to look a lot like liabilities. This was the problem Clear Channel faced when they approached us to work on an internal website: online content wasn't being accessed effectively, resulting in lost time and wasted storage space.

Clear Channel asked maybe.for.you. to design an online assets portal for Clear Channel employees. The site was to be a company-branded, user-friendly search and delivery platform. In their creative brief, Clear Channel kept it simple: they wanted a professional-looking application with industry-standard search tools.

During our content audit, it became clear how much data we were dealing with—tens of thousands music videos, audio clips, and photographs. Rather than simply building a slick-looking search portal, maybe.for.you. 's Information Architects spent the majority of their time building an effective structure to organize the information and allow for speedy search and delivery of that data.

The designers and Information Architects worked together to creatively display the content in such a way that page refreshes were minimized. This allowed for faster asset access, without sacrificing the site's aesthetic. The result was an internal website that focused on the needs of the user in an elegant way. Clear Channel users are now able to search, browse, and download audio and video assets in a much more streamlined, integrated, and branded experience.
